Guide to standard sizes

Here is a list of the recognised names and sizes of online banner adverts.

Generally all banners are made with Adobe Flash. The exception is animated Gif. The file size of Gifs significantly increase with more animation. They are not interactive ie, they are just an image. Email clients, like Outlook, do not support Flash. Gifs are ideal for email advertising, like signiture banners.
